Fill out the booking form
Tell us what you're working on and where you're stuck. The more detail, the better. For example: "I don't know which ingredients to use from the database" or "I don't know how to calculate water loss."

We ask questions to understand your product and your process. Sometimes the answer is quick, and we solve it on the spot.

We tell you honestly whether we can help
Some products can't be solved with software.
We can help. We move on to your Label Lab session.
It needs lab analysis. We'll tell you and point you to a lab, rather than build you something inaccurate.

We send a short agreement
It covers what we'll do, the cost, and the terms. Once that's squared away, we schedule your session.

Supplier spec sheets, batch weights, your finished product weight. We'll tell you exactly what we need so the session is spent building, not gathering.

What to Have Ready
Not required for the first conversation, but useful.
- Your recipe with ingredient weights
- Supplier spec sheets or Nutrition Facts panels for anything not in the USDA database
- Your finished product's weight, if it's cooked or dried
- Your packaging, or its dimensions
- Any lab analysis you already have
What we won't do

We won't guess.
If a number can't be calculated from your formulation, we'll tell you what you need to measure or analyze instead of filling in a plausible figure.

We won't certify your label.
We help you build it correctly, but you're responsible for the accuracy of your formulation and for compliance with the regulations that apply to your product.

We can't see your recipes.
Your formulations stay private to your workspace, so anything you want us to look at must be shared during the session or sent to us.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you charge for Label Lab?
The first session is free. That's the conversation where we understand your product and tell you honestly whether we can help. If we go ahead and build your label together, that's a paid service.
Is it just one session, or more?
It depends on your product. A straightforward label might come together in a single session. A complex one (multiple products, a tricky process, many ingredients to set up) will take more sessions. We'll give you a sense of the scope after the first conversation.
How much does it cost?
Label Lab starts at $250 per product. The final price depends on your needs, so we'll confirm it after the first session. You can also write to ask@nutrilab.io with a description of your product for a quote.
Do you write the ingredient statement for me?
Not as part of Label Lab. In a session, we walk you through building your own ingredient list, ordering it, naming ingredients correctly, and handling allergens, so you understand it and can maintain it yourself. Having us write your ingredient statement is a separate service, because it's detailed, high-responsibility work. If that's what you need, write to ask@nutrilab.io and we'll put together a quote.
Do I need a paid plan to use Label Lab?
You need a NutriLab account and an active workspace, since we build the label inside NutriLab with you. Label Lab is available on every plan, and it works the same way during your trial. When your trial ends, you're billed for the plan you chose, whether that's Individual, Business, or Enterprise.
